Orvil Benton Marcantel

Orvil B. Marcantel, 78, of Vidor died Friday, September 12, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of DeQuincy, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Orvil was a retired Carman with Union Pacific Railroad and served his country in the US Army during WW II. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008 at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor on Friday. Orvil is survived by his sons Terry Lynn Marcantel of Vidor, TX, James Benton Marcantel of Cottonport, LA, Paul Douglas, and Christopher Douglas Marcantel both of DeQuincy, LA, daughter Bertha Sue Williams of Bridge City, TX, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
