Oma Nixon, 84, of Vidor died Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at her residence. A native of Dry Prong, LA., she has lived in Vidor for 46 years, and was a homemaker. Funeral services will be Friday, September 26, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with a graveside service to be held at 4:00 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery in Dry Creek, LA., . Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. She is survived by her sons, James Nixon of Vidor, TX., John Nixon of Houston, TX., daughters, Marian Pressley of Trayer, IA., and Barbara Pate of Hemphill, TX., sister, Johnnye Maxwell of Pollock, LA. Ten grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.
