Nina Ruth Cook

Nina Ruth Cook, 87, of Vidor died Monday, October 10th, 2016 at Family Matters Hospice Center in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Nina was a member of Grace Community Church and was attending Cowboy Church in Orange with her son and daughter-in-law. Nina retired from PPG Chemical Plant where she was payroll clerk and secretary. She enjoyed gardening and being with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Hayman Cemetery in Coldsprings, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home. Nina was preceded in death by her Husband Billy Jack Cook. She is survived by her sons Dusty Cook and his wife Judy of Pasadena, TX, Aaron Cook and his wife Jeanette of Vidor, TX, daughters Cala Scott of Albuquerque, NM, Billie Georgette Powell and her husband Paul of McGregor, TX, Grace Annell Cook of Nederland, TX, Patricia Ware and her husband George of Nederland, TX, sisters Susie Magee of Vidor, TX, and Mae Manuel of Port Arthur, TX, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
