Nelda Cheerios Marie Lawson

Nelda M. Lawson, 68, of Vidor died Monday, July 28, 2008 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Vidor, she was a homemaker, and a longtime member of the Clown Society, she was known as Cheerios, but everybody called her 'Cheers'. Nelda battled with cancer, and her greatest wish was for her family to will her body for future cancer research to University of Texas Medical Branch. Her family would like to express their deepest appreciation for all the prayers and support from everyone during these difficult times. Memorial services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Nelda is survived by her daughters Zelda Davis and her husband Rusty of Vidor, Mamie Lawson of Beaumont, Charlene Lawson Denby and son-in-law James Stage of Vidor, step-son Carl Wagner and his wife Connie of Starks, LA., five grandchildren: Chasity Davis Viator and her husband Danny of Groves, Shannon Davis Prisock and her husband Jeremy of Vidor, Tyler Lawson, Hunter Denby both of Vidor, and Unique Bass of Bryan, TX.
