Nathan "Nate" Alexander Reid, a cherished resident of Vidor, passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 32. Born in Bremerton, WA, Nate embraced Vidor as his lifelong home, leaving an indelible mark on the community he held dear.
Nate's professional journey as a Boilermaker and his dedicated service in the US Navy reflected his commitment, courage, and sense of duty. Beyond his work, Nate found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in his love for baseball, softball, and golf.
A family man at heart, Nate's world revolved around spending quality time with his loved ones. His children, Kyler, Addilyn, Atlas, Kayliegh, Blayne, Parker, and Atley, were the center of his universe. Nate's devotion to family extended to his friends, creating bonds that enriched his life.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, concluding at 2:00 PM, followed by the service.
Nate is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Reid of Vidor, TX, his children, and his mother, Michelle Lawerence of Vidor, TX. His father, Billy Reid and Nikki Reid of DeRidder, LA, along with his siblings William and Jon Reid of DeRidder, LA, and Emilee and Montana Reid of DeRidder, LA, mourn his passing.
His memory lives on in the hearts of his grandparents, Ann Lawerence of Vidor, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Nate is preceded in death by his grandparents Paul Lawerence Sr., Raymond and Delcie Reid, and Buddy and Pat Mayers, and his aunt Romana Miller. In this time of sorrow, let us celebrate the vibrant spirit of Nathan "Nate" Alexander Reid and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. May his legacy be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who mourn his passing.
