Myrtis Smith

Myrtis Smith, 95 of Vidor, died Monday, May 30th, 2022 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and member of First Baptist Church in Vidor. She retired from VISD where she was a librarian at Vidor Elementary. She loved fishing, going to the lake, and anything that involved being outdoors. She also enjoyed spending time with her family especially all the grandchildren. Myrtis' services will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 with a visitation beginning at 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM with her funeral service at 2:00 PM with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. She is survived by her children Linda Booth and husband Larry of Temple, TX, Diane Anderson and husband Ronnie of Vidor, TX, and Bruce Smith and wife Diane of Vidor, TX, daughter in law Brenda Smith of Vidor, TX, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton W. Smith and son Richard Smith.
