Morris Frazor Yates, beloved husband and father, left this world to be with his maker on December 30th 2012. He was a simple man who loved his family and the great outdoors. He was an avid and skilled fisherman and hunter. A decorated veteran of World War II, he served his nation with honor and courage earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Born June 13, 1926 in Sheridan Kentucky to George and Telia Yates, he had 2 brothers and 3 sisters all who have passed before him. He moved to Texas after he was discharged from the army where he met Maggie Coplin and they were married. He spent most of his working life as a welder for the Ideco Company in Beaumont. He and Maggie had 4 children, 2 boys Bill and John and 2 girls Peggy and Nancy. Morris moved his family to Vidor, Texas in the early 60's where he spent the remainder of his life. His passing will leave a hole in many hearts. He is survived by his wife, all his children, 4 grand children and 8 great grandchildren. He will be interned at the family plot at Sycamore cemetery in Burkeville, Texas on Wednesday January 2nd.
