Mitchell Leon Carpenter

Mitchell L. Carpenter, 86, of Vidor died Monday, January 28, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A native of Bloomingrove, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 1958, and was a retired Pipefitter with Local #195. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his daughter Carol Carpenter, and his parents Virgil and Willie Mae Carpenter. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Hazel Carpenter of Vidor, sons Rev. Daniel Carpenter and his wife Gail of Pineland, TX., and Rev. Jerry Carpenter and his wife Doris of Weimar, TX., brothers Doyle Carpenter of Cookville, TX., and Lnoid Carpenter of Omaha, TX., and three grandchildren.
