Milam 'Sandy' Gerald Daniel Jr.

Sandy Daniel, 53, of Vidor died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at his residence. A native of El Dorado, AR, he was raised in Hamshire and attended Hamshire-Fannett High School. He received his Masters Degree from Lamar University in Beaumont. He has been a longtime resident of Vidor. Sandy was a service tech with Diebold Corp. for over 33 years and was a deacon for Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Pine Forest Baptist Church. Sandy is survived by his wife Laura 'Susie' Daniel of Vidor, TX, sons Milam 'Trey' Gerald Daniel III and his wife Lauren of Vidor, TX, daughter Amber Lovell and her husband Al of Vidor, TX, parents Chick and Saundra Daniel of Hamshire, TX, bother Jim Daniel of Winnie, TX, sister Nancy Reagan Corinth, TX, 3 grandchildren Noah Lovell, Grant Daniel and Harper Lovell, numerous neices and nephews, father-in law Robert Fruge of Hemphill, TX, and brother-in-law Bubba Fruge of Groves, TX.
