Michael “Mike” Emile Sheppard Sr. of Bonners Ferry, Idaho passed away on Sunday, July 14th, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Vidor Texas. He was born in Port Arthur Texas and raised in Vidor before moving to Bonners Ferry Idaho many years ago. Mike was a dedicated project manager for oil refineries. He was known for his expertise and leadership in the industry. He had a passion for the outdoors, often spending his free time fishing, hunting, gardening, and bird watching. Above all, he cherished moments spent with his family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

Mike enjoyed the zest in life and experiencing all that he could. He has traveled all fifty states of the United States as well as multiple foreign countries. He cherished the multiple trips and adventures shared over the years with his loving wife and family. Mike also enjoyed reading and expanding on some truths, which can also be translated to mean bull***t.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother Betty Sheppard.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Trevelyn Sheppard of Bonners Ferry Idaho, his children; Heath Sheppard and wife Kamie of Vidor Texas, Kimberly Cooper and husband Terry of Vidor, Texas, Travis Sheppard and wife Andrea of Redmond, Oregon, Michael Sheppard, Jr. and wife Yvonne of Bonners Ferry Idaho. Trevelyn “Tes” Sheppard of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Ploman Sheppard and partner Tawna Wilson of Deer Park, Washington. He is also survived by his father P.R. “Shep” Sheppard of Vidor, Texas as well as his sisters, Donna Richards and husband Dan of Wimberley, Texas, Luci Sheppard and partner Daryl Brown of Riviera, Texas and brother Jude Sheppard and partner Claudia Torre of Mexico. Mike leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to MD Anderson in Mike’s memory. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Mike’s legacy of love, dedication, and passion for life will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. May he rest in peace.
