Michael Craig Mathews, Sr.

Michael C. Mathews, Sr., 66, of Vidor died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Toledo, OH., he has lived in Vidor for 4 years, and was a retired service tech with Sears & Roebuck, and owner-operator of Mathews Rechargeable Batteries. Michael served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Michael was a loving husband to Maggie Mathews of Vidor, a loving father to Michael C. Mathews, Jr., of Houston, David Mathews of Pearland, Michael John Hunter of Kemp, TX., Larry Glenn Hunter, Jr., of Ennis, TX., daughters Wendi Simonson of Scottsdale, AZ., Barbara Jean Hunter and Christie Hunter Broussard both of Vidor. He is also survived by his brothers Kimberly Mathews and William Mathews both of Toledo, OH., sisters Stephanie Vaughn of Dayton, OH., and Kelly Sair of Denver, CO., and a loving paw-paw to numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
