Melvin Robert Turner, 65, of Vidor died Monday March 24, 2003 at his residence in Vidor. He was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Melvin was a self-employed heavy equipment operator. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 26, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday March 25, 2003 at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Barbara Turner of Vidor, TX., sons: Keith Turner of Nederland, TX., Tim Turner of Santa Fe, TX., mother: Ollie Turner of Vidor, TX., brother: Calvin Turner of Vidor, TX., grandchildren: Lacie Turner of Nederland, TX., Troy and Shane Turner both of Santa Fe, TX.
