Melody Alexandria-Renee Patterson

Melody Alexandria-Renee Patterson, 3, an extraordinary young girl passed away on January 18th, 2018. She is survived by her mother; Holly Aviles, father; Shawn Patterson, as well as many aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. A resident of Vidor, TX her whole life, Melody had made an impact on her community. At a year old, Melody was diagnosed with a rare childrens eye cancer in both eyes. She spent approximately a year fighting to be able to save her right eye and losing her left. Shortly after beating one battle she was hit with another. Being diagnosed with a second type of cancer. She overcame all odds set by doctors and beat it in 6 months. Two months passed and news once again struck home. Her cancer had come back worse than ever. December 3, 2017 doctors informed the family that there was nothing they could do. She fought very hard for so long and gave it everything she had. Her parents are forever proud of everything she accomplished. She came and left this life very loved by many. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home.
