Melba Smith-Borel

Melba S. Borel, 75, of Humble died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble. A native of Beaumont, she has lived in Humble since 1997, and was a retired clerical specialist for 30 years with Dupont Sabine River Works in Orange. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Melba was preceded in death by her daughters Debra Sumrall, and Diane Sumrall, brothers Wallace Smith, Benjamin "Benny" Smith, and Lynn Smith, sisters Virginia Denson, and Dorothy Free. She is survived by her daughter Marci Sumrall of Humble, two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
