Melba Etta James

Melba Richardson-James, 90, of Vidor, TX died Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 at Vidor Health and Rehab. She was a longtime resident and business woman of Vidor and owned her own restaurant. Melba enjoyed going to the lake and fishing but she especially loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by 3 sons; R.L. Richardson of Vidor, Jerry Richardson also of Vidor, and John Richardson of Town Bluff, TX, 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters; Carlene Henderson and Mildred Staley, and 1 brother; Roy Buckner. Melba was preceded in death by her husband; Johnny James. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
