Melba "Doris" Adams, 85, of Vidor, Texas, passed away at her residence on Friday, June 21, 2024. Born in San Augustine, Texas, Doris was a cherished member of the Vidor community for many years. She was a devoted member of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church and spent her career as a dedicated cafeteria worker for Vidor ISD until her retirement.
Doris was known for her unwavering love and commitment to her family. She was the beloved wife of Charles Adams, with whom she shared 65 beautiful years of marriage. Doris found great joy in spending time with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Doris is survived by her loving husband, Charles Adams of Vidor, TX; her son Kevin Adams and his wife Elizabeth of China, TX; her daughter Suzanne Adams of Vidor, TX; her sister Aileen Mahfouz of Vidor, TX; her brother Mac Ray Harvey of Humble, TX; four grandchildren Jeffery Adams, Brittney Adams, Erin Dixson and Nichole Dixson and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Adams, and her parents, Raymond and Margaret Harvey.
Doris's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
