Maxine Carter

Maxine Carter, 71, of Beaumont, Texas died Sunday June 22, 2003 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Maxine was a native and lifelong residence of Beaumont. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday June 25, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, Texas. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday June 24, 2003 at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by a daughter Ruth Anne Mabry and a son Charles “Chuck” Carter. Maxine is survived by her husband of 55 years Jay “Jack” Carter of Beaumont, TX., sons: Carol Carter of Moss Bluff, La., Wayne Carter of Vidor, TX., Ray Carter of Ft. Worth, TX., David Carter of Vidor, TX., Tony Carter of Beaumont, TX., Robert Carter of Alaska, daughters: Sue Adams of Lumberton, TX., Tina Matlage of Buna, TX., Dottie Wells of Buna, TX., sister: Barbara Delores Burke of Houston, TX., over 50 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
