Mattie Jackson

Mattie L. Jackson was born in Mayflower, Texas on November 30, 1934 to Arthur and Ida Smith. A lifelong resident of Vidor, TX. She left here to be with Jesus on August 28, 2017. Mattie was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ida Smith, her brothers James Smith and Norman Smith, her sister Virginia Bearden, her daughter Rhonda Lee Brady Ward, her sons Scott A. Brady and Robert Lee Jackson Jr. Those left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 45 years Robert Lee Jackson Sr, her sister Yvonne Goetz and husband John of Humble, TX, her children John T. Brady II and wife Aileen of Frisco, TX, Jason A. Jackson and wife Jackie of Beaumont, TX, Delana K. Jackson Galaviz and husband Joseph of Vidor, TX, Elizabeth R. Welch Jensen and husband Tracy of Eau Claire, WI, Brenda Lee Jackson Montgomery of Columbus, OH, Lynda Lee Jackson Marshall and husband John of Hallsville, TX, 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, her family in God at Grace Community Church in Vidor, TX and a host of family and friends. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Grace Community Church in Vidor.
