Mary Zell Hawkins

Mary Zell Christian Hawkins, 85, of Rose City died Monday, May 29th, 2017 at Vidor Health and Rehab Center. Mary was a native of Elida, New Mexico, she was a lifelong resident of Rose City, TX. She was a member of Rose City Baptist Church and was a registered nurse. Mary enjoyed canning and making jelly to give to her family and friends. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Friday, June 2, 2107 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Mary was preceded in death b y her husbands Jack Hawkins Sr., and Allen Bowlus, son Quentin Frank Hawkins. She is survived by her son Jack Hawkins Jr. of the Philippines, daughter LaDonne Oubre of Beaumont, TX, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
