Mary Ruth Denson

Mary Ruth Denson, 70, of Vidor, TX died Sunday, October 1st, 2017 in Beaumont, TX. A native of Charleston, WV she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Mary worked as a counselor for over 14 years at Lamar State College Orange. She enjoyed embroidery and painting and was a member of The Eastern Star and Southern Sisters. A memorial gathering will be Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A Memorial service will be Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Calder Baptist Church in Beaumont. Mary is survived by her loving husband; Jimmy Denson, Sr. of 55 years, 1 son; Jimmy Denson, Jr. and his wife Pam of Vidor, 1 daughter; Holly Hudgins and her husband Tom of Vidor, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 sister; Charlotte Levell and 1 brother; James Lowery. Mary was preceded in death by 1 son; Shawn Denson, 1 brother; Charles W. Lowery and 1 sister; Brenda Bickerton. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
