Mary Opal Kornegay

Mary Opal Kornegay, 94, of Vidor died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at her residence. A native of Lambert, MS, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Mary was a homemaker and was a member of New Covenant Full Gospel Church in Rose City. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Crowder Cemetery in MS. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Mary was preceded in death her husband JP Kornegay, son John F. Kornegay and grandchild Jordan Thompson. She is survived by her daughter Syble Cooper and her husband Richard of Vidor, TX, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
