Mary Jane Broom

Mary J. Broom, 77, of Vidor died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at Spring Seasons Nursing Home in Vidor, TX. A native of Childress, Texas she has lived in Vidor for 65 years, and was a retired bookkeeper for Vidor Pharmacy. She was a proud Eastern Star Member of the Vidor chapter # 914 for 50 plus years. Mary was a friend to all. She was a caring and loving mother, and a devoted wife of 60 years. All who knew her loved her gentle nature and warm smile. We miss her, but are at peace knowing she is with our Lord and Savior forever more. Funeral services will be Friday, June 13, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. She is preceded in death by her daughter Jerre Cochran. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Leon L. Broom of Vidor, TX., daughter, Beverly Hall, her husband Fred Hall of Vidor, TX., and four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
