Mary Ann Hargraves

Mary Ann Hargraves, 65, of Rose City died Thursday February 19, 2004 at her residence in Rose City. A native of Beaumont, TX., she was a lifelong resident of Rose City, Texas. Mary taught at Vidor Middle School for 19 years and was the teacher of the year for 2003-2004. She was a Lamar University graduate of 1980 and was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society - Theta Chapter. Mary was also a member of the Interfaith Choral Society, Gulf Coast Historical Society and sang in the Beaumont Civic Opera. She was a very active member of Rose City Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday February 24, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday February 23, 2004 at the funeral home. Mary is survived by her husband Rodger D. Hargraves, Sr. of Rose City, TX., sons: Hart Christopher Butts of Vidor, TX., Daniel Ray Hargraves of Narragansett, RI., Rodger D. Hargraves, Jr. of Warren, PA., Jeffery Scott Hargraves of Gatesville, TX., daughters: Laura Lee Butts French of Vidor, TX., Brenda Kay Ray of Moffett, TX., Tracy Daniele Hargraves of Gatesville, TX., sister Earline Hart Walles of Silsbee, TX., 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
