Marl Slim Harris

Slim Harris, 81, of Vidor died Saturday, September 3, 2005 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Gasaway, West Virginia he lived in Akron, Ohio for 50 years before moving to Vidor 5 years ago. He was a retired operator with Goodyear Tire Rubber Plant in Akron, OH., after 42 ½ years of faithful service. A private memorial service will be held at the families residence. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Mary Harris of Vidor, son Tim Royston of Vidor, daughter Bonnie Jean Statler of Akron, OH., ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor for all the wonderful care that was given to Slim.
