Marjorie Lee Spell, 77, of Vidor, Texas went on to be with her Lord and Savior on February 6, 2008, after a long illness. Known as Margie by her friends, she was born in Beaumont, Texas on April 30, 1930. Margie was pianist at Shiloh Baptist Church in Vidor, Texas for many years and enjoyed using her God given talent to praise and worship with other believers. The remarkable thing about her talent was she 'played by ear' and never took a day of piano lessons. Her lessons were from God himself. She loved the old Hymns. Margie is survived by one daughter, Brenda Sadler and son-in-law Seth Sadler of Mauriceville, TX, two sons, Charles Spell, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Ronnie Spell Sr. and daughter-in-law Dot Spell of Vidor, Texas, two brothers, Robert Claiborne and his wife Mary Ann of Greensboro, NC and Jerry Claiborne and his wife Pat of Houston, Texas. Margie is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Emma Claiborne of Vidor, Texas. She has 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2008, at Memorial Funeral Home located at 1750 Highway 12, Vidor, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor and will be officiated by Bro.
