Marilyn Tidwell

Marilyn Smith Tidwell born October 24, 1949, in Beaumont, Texas walked into the arms of Jesus on September 29, 2024. We remember a true woman of God and a beacon of light who left behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. Marilyn walked through life with a gentle strength, touching the lives of everyone she encountered with unforgettable grace. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with her innermost being and dedicated her life to him. She was a flawless example of a wife, mother, Granna and so many other titles. Her absence will be felt. She is preceded in death by her father and mother E.W. & Esther Smith & beloved husband Larry Tidwell. She is survived by her brother James Smith & wife Teresa, brother Dalton Smith, sister LaJuanna Tidwell & husband John. Son Michael Aaron Tidwell & wife Cris, grandsons Giovanni, Grant, Ryan, Conner & Harrison. Daughter Wynde Longbottom & husband Marty, grandson Jessie Parton. Son Michael Caleb Tidwell & wife Scarlett, granddaughter Evangeline Tidwell. Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor located at 1750 Hwy 12 Vidor, TX 77662. 1:00-2:00 visitation then service at 2:00.
