Margie Ray Cropper

Margie Ray Linscomb was born January 7th, 1932 in Vidor, Texas. She passed Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Ulma Linscomb; and her husband, Ernie Cropper, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her brother and three sisters. Margie is survived by her son, Steve and his wife Deborah, of Vidor; a grandson; Joseph and his wife, Julie and their three children from Lumberton, TX, her granddaughter, Jewelann, and her husband, Justin and their son, Cropper Ray Cournoyer of San Marcos, TX. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. During her career she worked as Vidor City Secretary at the Vidor Tax Office and also worked at the Orange County Water Dept. She was active at the Baptist church where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member. She also volunteered at Oak Forest Elementary. Her cremation is entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Her memorial service will be held at a later date. Thanks are given to the nurses at Vidor Health and Rehab where she resided the past four years. Charitable donations can be sent to The Alzheimer Association Research.
