Margie Grace Smith

Margie Grace Smith, 77, of Vidor, TX died February 15th, 2017 at her home. A native of Mamou, LA, she was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, going to the casinos and cooking, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Margie also enjoyed to watch her grandchildren play all types of sports, but she truly loved to spend quality time with her family. Visitation will be Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Monday, February 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Margie is survived by 1 son; Kirk Venable and his wife Amy of Pearland, TX, 1 daughter; Starla Humble Cornelison of Vidor, TX, 12 grandchildren; Keisha Venable, Ricky Venable, Jr., Brandon Venable, Christopher Venable, Allison Maxey, Grace Maxey, Allicia Ingham, Cassie Venable, Brittany Venable, Macie Humble, Carlie Humble, and Kolbie Humble, and 12 great grandchildren. Margie was preceded in death by her husband; Lloyd Smith, 2 brothers; Lee Daniel Tate and Ted Tate, and 3 sons; Ruben Venable, Ricky Venable, and James Venable.
