Lynda Joyce Marshall Connor Matte, 69, of Vidor, TX died Friday, August 18th, 2017 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, TX. Born in Beaumont, she was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed knitting, sewing, flowers and doing yardwork. Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mansfield Cemetery in Vidor. Lynda is survived by her mother; Emma Jean Lamar of Vidor, 1 daughter; Melissa Connor-Richard, and 2 sons; Archie Connor and J.R. Connor and his wife Eileen, all of Vidor, 7 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. She is also survived by 1 sister; Elizabeth Kaye Hartman, 1 half-sister; Karla Landry of Lumberton, TX and 1 half-brother; Daryl Marshall. Lynda was preceded in death by her fathers; Robert Marshall and John R. Lamar, husband; Ronald Matte, 1 brother; Robert Marshall III, and 1 granddaughter; Ciara Richard.
