Lurlene W. Seymore, 81, of Vidor died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at her residence. A native of Collingsworth County, TX, she has lived in Vidor for 28 years, and was a retired secretary with Houston Independent School District, and later became owner of Vidor Radiator. Lurlene was a member of First United Methodist Church of Vidor, where she was active in the sewing circle, and a member of the United Methodist Womens Group. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with cremation to follow at Haven of Rest in Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Lurlene was preceded in death by her husband Jack Seymore, parents Robert and Opha Wilson, brothers Roland and Roscoe Wilson. She is survived by her son Kenneth Rickey Newman of Houston, daughter Stacey Butts of Vidor, step-sons Daniel Seymore of Vidor, and Glenn Seymor of Delaware, step-daughter Debbie Seymore of Texarkana, TX., sister Linda Kuroki of Borger, TX., eleven grandchildren including Logan Butts, and five great grandchildren.
