Lucy Lillian Harland

Lucy L. Harland, 76, of Vidor died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at her residence. A native of Westerly, RI., she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Lucy retired from Sears after 29 years as the catalog sales manager. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Bill Harland. She is survived by her sons John C. Harland of Stockton, CA., Billie S. Harland, Dwight W. Harland, and Tim E. Harland all of Vidor, daughter Llewellyn J. “Cissy” Coleman of Kingwood, TX., brothers Jerry Cross of Hebron, CT., and Cal Cross of Stockholm, Sweden, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family would like to also thank Lucy’s caregivers Glenda and Cherry Marshall.
