Lucien James 'L.J.' Pipps Sr

Lucien James Pipps Sr, 83, of Vidor died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Zwolle, LA, he was a longtime resident of Lumberton before moving to Vidor. Lucien was retired from Bethlehem Steel where he was a Pipefitter. He was a member of the Pipefittes Local Union #195. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, June 24, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home. Lucien was preceded in death by his son Ronald Pipps. He is survived by his wife Pat Pipps of Vidor, TX, sons Michael Pipps, L.J. Pipps Jr and his wife Nina all of Lumberton, TX, daughters Annie Pipps McNeely and her husband Danny of Warren, TX, Lisa Pipps and Leslie Pipps both of Lumberton, TX, Tisha Gail Nance of Missouri, Dana Jumonville of Louisiana, and Darla Stansburys and her husband Eric of Vidor, TX, brother Henry Eldon 'Na-ta-o-tish' Pipps of Beaumont, TX, daughter-in-law Cindy Pipps of Vidor, TX, 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
