Lois Ann Burleson Hill

Lois A. Hill, 77, of Vidor died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at her daughters residence in League City, TX. Lois was a native of Tyler, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Lois was a true caregiver who tirelessly devoted her life to taking care of family and friends. She always put the needs of others above the needs of herself. Lois had many hobbies and interests. Always enjoying a good political debate, she could recite every detail about the presidential election. Her favorite channel was Fox News. Lois also truly enjoyed collecting, and she had many prize collections such as Blue Willow, oil lamps, and her treasured frosted blue glass. Lois’s church was very important to her, and she loved playing cards there with her friends. When she was healthy, she always tried to attend every service.Since her yard gave her great comfort and joy, she enjoyed sitting on her porch chatting with her beloved neighbors. Lois enjoyed nothing more than a house full of family and friends, and when no one was there, she could talk on the phone for hours.Lois will truly be missed by her family and friends (and her loyal little dog, Sam) because she was loved by all who knew her. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Manley Hill, sons Jimmy and John Hill. She is survived by her son Dan Hill of Humble, TX, daughter Robin Bigham of League City, TX, sister Louise Blow of Tyler, TX, 7 grandchildren Nicholas Hill, Christian Hill, Joseph Stephenson, Annie Chase, Mason, Bigham, Kevin Hill and Andy Hill, 2 great grandchildren Heaven and Zion Hill, great great grandson Leviticus Brewer.
