Lodies Mae Davis

Lodies M. Davis, 81, of Vidor died Friday, April 29, 2011 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Beaumont, Texas, she was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Lodies worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and was a working the switch boards when the calls came in about the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. She spent most of her life as a homemaker for her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 2, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Lodies is survived by her sons Floyd Lee Korman and William R. Davis both of Vidor, TX, daughter Betty Cofer of Broaddus, TX, brother William M. Korman of Vidor, TX, 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
