Lisa La’Tjier Armentrout, a compassionate nurse, gifted artist, and intrepid world traveler, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025 in her home with her loving husband by her side. She was 64 years young.
Born on December 22 1960 in Beaumont, TX to Elizabeth Bach and the late Pete Lavine. Lisa and Gran to her grandchildren lived a life rich in experience and love. Her adventurous spirit took her to far-flung corners of the globe, including Norway, Sweden, Nigeria, Okinawa, and across the United States over the span of her life. She embraced diverse cultures and found beauty in every place she visited.
For many years, Lisa dedicated herself to nursing, where her caring nature and genuine desire to help others shone brightly. She was also a talented artist, expressing her creativity in countless ways. As an avid reader, she found solace and inspiration in the pages of books.
Above all, Lisa possessed a remarkable capacity for love and acceptance. She cherished her relationships and embraced people for their most authentic selves, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She is survived by her loving mother, Elizabeth Bach; her devoted husband, Robert Armentrout; her beloved daughter, Nicole Allison of Vidor; her brother, Pete Lavine of Vidor; her sister, Elizabeth Lewis of Lexington, South Carolina; and her cherished granddaughters, Carly, Claire, and Catherine.
She was preceded in death by her fathers, Pete Lavine and Roald Bach.
