Linda Elizabeth Williford, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on January 24, 2025, at Focused Care at Orange. Born and raised in Vidor, Texas, Linda later became a longtime resident of Silsbee, where she began her career in education with Kountze ISD. Linda was a dedicated member of North Main Church of Christ in Vidor and a passionate educator, touching countless lives during her 25 years of teaching in Kountze, West Sabine, and Liberty ISDs. Her love for learning extended beyond the classroom, as she shared her passion for history as a tour guide for the McFaddin-Ward House. Linda's appreciation for beauty and history was evident in her love for antiques, which she delighted in collecting. She also had a green thumb, taking great joy in gardening and the vibrant blooms she nurtured. Family was at the heart of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with loved ones. Whether sharing stories or simply enjoying a good conversation, Linda's warmth and kindness were a gift to all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Heidi Cleveland and husband Dwayne of Mauriceville, TX, and Will Williford and wife Lisa of Orange, TX. She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by her grandchildren: David Savoy Jr., John Paul Savoy, Brooke Ann Freeman, Logan Savoy, Jason Williford, BJ Williford, Kristina Lozano, Kayla Lozano, and Kathleen Lyons, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Elizabeth Gordy, her beloved daughter, Hayley Williford, and her brother, Earl Gordy. Linda’s life was a testament to the beauty of simple joys, the importance of family, and the lasting impact of a kind heart. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
