Vidor

Mary "Linda" Stewart, 79, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas. Born in Riverside, California, Linda eventually made Vidor her home, where she spent many happy years surrounded by family and friends.

A dedicated homemaker, Linda was the heart of her family. She had a vibrant spirit that shone through in everything she did. She was an avid bowler and could often be found at the local lanes, where she forged lasting friendships over the years. Linda also enjoyed playing bingo, where her competitive streak would come out as she eagerly awaited each call.

Linda had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished time spent fishing, often accompanied by friends who shared her passion. Her flower garden was her pride and joy; she nurtured it with care, and it flourished under her touch, much like the relationships she cultivated throughout her life. As a member of a local widow's club, Linda found a supportive community and brought comfort and laughter to others who shared her journey.

Linda is survived by her loving son, Rodney Stewart, and his wife, Nancy Ann Stewart, of Vidor, TX. She is also survived by her brother, Timothy Al Prittchett, of Lake Havasu, AZ, and her beloved grandchildren, Chelsey Lee Stewart, Zachary Ryan Stewart, Dereck Stewart, Joshua Stewart, and Shasta Stewart, who all held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Stewart, and her son, Ronnie Bryan Stewart. Though they have passed, their memories live on in the stories Linda shared and the love she continued to give.

Linda will be remembered for her kind heart, her love of simple pleasures, and the joy she brought to those who knew her. Her family and friends will carry her memory with them always.
