Linda Caril Delatte

Linda Wheat-DeLatte, 49, of Lake Charles, LA died Saturday, August 11th, 2018 in Lafayette, LA. A native of Beaumont, TX she was a current resident of Lake Charles and a former longtime resident of Vidor, TX. Linda worked for many years in the construction field and enjoyed fishing. She had a passion for cooking, especially her crawfish casserole. She also loved being around her family and friends. A memorial visitation will be Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with her memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Linda is survived by her loving husband; Doug DeLatte of Baton Rouge, LA, 1 daughter; Katie Wheat of Mauriceville, TX, 1 son; Kyle Mills of Orange, TX, and 3 grandchildren; Ethan, Evelyn, and Charlotte. She is also survived by her father; Jimmy Jay Wheat and wife Flo of Wappingers Falls, NY, 1 sister; Beth Marie Bordwell and husband Tom of Vidor, 1 brother; Scooter Wheat, and her aunt and uncle; Nancy and Al Standsbury. Linda was preceded in death by her mothers; Rose Wheat and Carol Diana Wheat. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
