Lewis M. Townsend

Lewis M. Townsend, 79, of Vidor died Thursday June 5, 2003 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Chestertown, Maryland, he lived in vidor for 2 years, moving from Arlington, Texas were he lived for 13 years. Lewis was a retired truck driver for Conoco Company. He proudly served his country in WW II in the United States Marine Corps. And was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Lewis was also, a member in the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners Moslah Temple Flying Fez. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 7, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Ellen Townsend of Vidor, TX., son: David Burch of Vidor, TX., daughter: Marcia Lynn Townsend of Vidor, TX., sister: Hernietta Elwell of Flordia, 1 grandchild and 3 great grandchildren.
