Lewis Franklin Youngblood

July 27, 1933 — April 13, 2006

Paw-Paw Youngblood, 72, of Vidor died Thursday, April 13, 2006 at his residence. A native of Florien, LA., he has lived in Vidor since 1953, and retired as a welder from N. L. Shaffer, and The City of Vidor. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2006 with a Christian Vigil to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hamp and Hattie Youngblood, sons, David Youngblood, and Douglas Patrick Youngblood. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Nora Godeaux Youngblood of Vidor, daughters, Drusella Fisher, Linda Pantely and husband Joey, and Tommie Williams and husband Sam all of Vidor, brother, Douglas Youngblood of Burleson, TX., sisters, Betty Prince of Center, TX., Evelyn Rhames and Del Hopkins both of Florien, LA., Helen Ward, and Martha Youngblood both of Merryville, LA., and ten grandchildren.
