Lester Leroy West

Lester West, 66, of Vidor died Friday, March 5, 2010 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Lester was born October 7, 1943 in Pitkin, Louisiana to Mayo and Etha West. He was a retired roofer and served his county in the U.S. Army. Lester was an avid fisherman and bingo player. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and always had a kind word and a smile to share. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with cremation to follow. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Lester was preceded in death by his parents Mayo and Etha West and brother Don West. He is survived by his wife Marcia West, son Bradley West of Vidor, TX, daughters Sharon West, Leslie West LeBlanc and her husband Stoney all of Lafayette, LA, brothers Gene West and his wife Donna of Pitkin, LA, Clifton "Buddy" West and his wife Lorene of Lumberton, TX, sister Sadie Howe and her husband Jeff of Norcross, GA, grandchildren Bree'ann, Bradley, and Slayton.
