Leroy George Baker

Leroy G. Baker, 83, of Vidor died Friday, May 14, 2004 at his residence. A native of Menard, Texas, he has lived in Vidor since 1962, and was a retired welder with Bethlehem Steel after 30+ years of service. Leroy proudly served his country in the United States Navy, and was a proud member of the VFW post #8246. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Leroy is survived by his brother, L.D. Baker of Sulphur Springs, TX., 2 granddaughters, Sherry Oliver, and Teresa Lee, 1 great grandchild, Jamie Oliver, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
