Leonard (Red) E. Scott Jr., 91, of Vidor died Thursday, November 21, 2013 at his residence. A native of Mineola, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Red was a General Office Coordinator for United Gas Pipeline Co.. He was member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor and served his country in the US Coast Guard during WWII. A Christian burial outside of mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Le Bleu Cemetery in Fenton, LA. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 6:00 -8:30 pm Friday, November 22, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home. Red is preceded in death by his wife Freida Le Bleu Scott, son William (Billy) H. Scott, sisters Helen White and Anita Toups. He is survived by his sons David Scott of San Antonio, TX, Gregory Lynn Scott of Vidor, TX, Leonard Everett Scott III of Pearland, TX, daughters Mary Ellen Scott Brown of Vidor, TX, Patricia Anne Scott Kirkpatrick of Odessa, TX, Angie Louise Scott Drab of Pearland, TX, brothers Walter Scott of New Iberia, LA, B.G. Scott of Emory, TX, Milton 'Don' Scott of Princeton, TX, sisters Peggy Busby of Grand Prairie, TX, Nancy Weir of Dallas, TX, 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
