Leonard Grady Jones

Leonard Grady Jones, 94, of Vidor died peacefully Monday, March 7, 2011 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. Leonard was born September 28, 1916 in Clara, MS., to the late Joseph Leonard and Miranda Boyles Jones. He served in the United States Army during WWII and retired from Carpenters Local # 502. Leonard is survived by his wife of 64 years, Audrey Spiers Jones of Vidor, his two daughters Janice Jones Sims and husband Eldon and Brenda Jones Biehle and husband Paul all of Vidor, step-son Jerry W. Kellar of Picayune, MS., his four grandchildren Jerry W. Kellar, Jr., Jennifer Sims Wilson and husband David, Pamela Kellar Rahmel and husband Jason and Miranda Biehle, five great grandchildren, Hanna Kellar, Justin Rahmel, Ashlei Rahmel, Jessica Wilson and Lauren Wilson, one brother Roy Jones of Pensacola, FL. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, 350 North Main, Vidor, TX 77662.
