Leon Paul Mayes

Leon Paul Mayes, 89 of Ocala, Florida died Saturday, March 17th, 2018 in Ocala. Leon Paul served his country in the U.S Army during the Vietnam conflict and retire after 25+ years of service. He was a member of Green Springs Baptist Church in Parkton, NC. Leon Paul was a member of the Masonic Lodge #1286 in Vidor and was also Scottish Rites. He enjoyed being with family and gardening. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Leon Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years Soon Hi "Lee" Mayes of Ocala, Florida, daughter Paula Stauss and her husband Don of Silver Springs, Florida, 2 grandchildren Kali and Caleb Stauss, niece Judy Richard of Vidor, TX and nephew Gary Platt of Vidor, TX.
