Leon Dennis Duke

Leon D. Duke, 86, of Vidor died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home. A native of Summerfield, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. He was a deacon and member of First Baptist Church of Vidor. He retired from Tiger Well Service in Vinton, LA and enjoyed fishing and gardening, but most of all he enjoyed being around family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a mason in Homer, LA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 25, 2016 at First Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. leon is survived by his son Steve Duke and daughter Marsha Quimby both of Vidor, TX, brother James Duke of Bossier City, LA, 5 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.
