Lawrence 'Mack' June Mcmellon Jr

Mack McMellon, 80 of Vidor died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at his residence in Vidor. A native of Campti, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Mack was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor, TX and Nativity Catholic Church in Campti, LA. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with cremation to follow. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm and a rosary at 7:00 pm Friday, December 20, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Mack was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Theresa LeBlanc, grandson Ronnie Rhodes Jr. He was survived by his longtime companion Linda McDowell of Vidor, TX, daughters Peggy McMellon of Round Rock, TX, and Karen Duvail of Silsbee, TX, son Robert Smith of Beaumont, TX, 2 grandchildren Kevin Rhodes and Shannon Smith, 2 great-grandchildren Beckham Rhodes and Zach Smith.
