Lawrence "Larry" Leroy Rainwater

Lawrence "Larry" Rainwater, 80, of Vidor, TX died Friday, September 27th, 2019 at home with his family by his side. Born 4/27/1939 in Beaumont, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor and retired from Gulf States Utilities. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved to travel, go fishing and spend quality time with his family. Larry was a Deacon at Maplecrest Baptist Church and his favorite Bible verse was Psalm 23:4 "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."
A graveside visitation will be Tuesday, October1, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park. Following interment a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Maplecrest Baptist Church. Larry is survived by his wife; Helen, sons; Kraig and his wife Tobie and Kennon and his wife Veronica, grandchildren; Natalee, Noell and her husband Josh, Tucker, and Nathan, great grandchildren; Karleigh, Maddelynn, Scarlette, and Eloise. Larry is also survived by bonus grandchildren; Andrea, Ashlee, Aaron Aric, and Allison, and bonus great grandchildren; Roman and Cora, brother; Johnny and his wife Dorothy and sister; Joyce and her husband Ernerst. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Maplecrest Baptist Church Cross Fund.
