Larry Gene Yard

Larry Gene Yard, 70, of Kirbyville died Friday, September 29th, 2017 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor, before moving to Kirbyville. Larry was a member of VFW Post #8246 in Vidor and was a past Quarter Master. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict. Larry was a football fan and liked the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Long Horns. Larry is survived by his son Billy Yard and wife miranda of Beaumont, TX, sisters Joan L. Bailly of Vidor, TX and Judy Goates of Brookeland, TX, half-sisters Kim Derouen of Lake Charles, LA and Wanda Whiddon of Cleveland, TX, aunt Virgie Childs of Dallas, TX, uncle Donald Holst of Beaumont, TX, 2 grandchildren Trevor and Abigial Yard, numerous other relatives and friends.
