Larry E. Duke, Sr., 73, of Vidor died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Voth, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 1943, and was a Iron Worker with Local # 125. He was a member of the Vidor American Legion post # 112, Larry served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Larry is survived by his wife Elsie Duke of Vidor, sons Larry Duke, Jr of Beaumont, and Dennis Keith Duke of Vidor, daughters Dawn Duke Zapata, and Deborah Marie Duke Lear both of Vidor, brother Jan Carol Duke of Vidor, sister Darlyn Williams of Vidor, fifteen grandchildren: Kevin, Joy Lynn, Michael, Angela, Kira, Patrick, Stephen, Ala, Katie, Louie, Christophor, Gabriella, Lucretia, Desiree and Eli, and eleven great grandchildren.
